Delivery & shipping

Namkeen is fresh food, so how it travels matters. Here is exactly what we do, what it costs and where we draw the line.

Inside Amritsar city

We deliver ourselves inside the city. Orders placed before 6 pm go out the same day; anything later goes the next morning. You can pick a rough window — morning, afternoon or evening — at checkout, and we will call before leaving the shop.

  • City delivery charge: ₹40
  • Free above ₹999
  • Cash on delivery allowed up to ₹8,000, handling charge nothing extra

If you would rather collect it yourself, order on the phone instead and we will keep the box aside at the counter — phone.

Rest of India

Outstation orders travel by courier and are dispatched within 24 hours of the order being confirmed. Delivery normally takes two to four days depending on the pin code. The courier charge is a flat ₹120 and cash on delivery is not available outside Amritsar — those orders are paid by bank transfer or UPI first.

We share the courier's tracking number on WhatsApp as soon as the parcel is picked up. Once it is with the courier, the delivery date is theirs to keep, not ours, though we will chase them with you if something goes quiet.

What we will not send outstation

The kachori is fried to order and is at its best the same evening. It goes soft in a courier bag and loses the whole point of itself, so we do not take outstation orders for it, even if you ask us to. It is not caution for its own sake — it would arrive limp and neither of us would be happy. Inside Amritsar it reaches you the same day, straight out of the kadhai.

Everything else travels well: the mixtures, gathiya, masala peanuts, kaju shape, all four mathris, papdi and nimki. Sealed pouches keep them crisp for a week and more. The basket warns you before checkout if something in it should not go by courier.

How it is packed

  • Food-grade boxes, sealed, with a butter-paper layer between rows.
  • Namkeen goes in sealed pouches so it stays crisp.
  • Outstation parcels get a corrugated outer box and cushioning.
  • Ordering it as a gift? Say so in the note at checkout — we wrap the tin and write your message on a card by hand.

If nobody is home

Inside the city we will call, wait a few minutes, and if there is still no answer we bring the box back to the shop and re-deliver once, free, on a day that suits you. For courier orders, the courier follows its own re-attempt rules — usually two more tries before returning the parcel to us.

Perishable food that has travelled and come back cannot be sent out again, so a returned outstation parcel is treated under the refund policy.

Ask us anything

The shop is open daily. Call phone or message us on WhatsApp — a person reads it, usually within the hour.
